Founded in 2000

Founded in 2000, Vietnamese Voices OverSeaS (VVOS), takes on the mission of 'we make news' and broadcasts our content through various Vietnamese media including TV, radio, print, and online.


Since Oct 2005

Since Oct 2005, we have launched a daily 30-minute TV production broadcasting on Saigon Broadcasting TV Network and became one of the top most viewed and well received program nation-wide.


In 2009

In 2009, with the new era of digital television, we incorporated BYN (Broadcasting Youth Network, Inc) and began the new local, free-to-air, 24-hour television on KUBE 57.3.


In 2017

In 2017, BYN joined the T3 Holdings, Inc. family as a wholly-owned subsidiary and renamed to BYN Media, Inc. T3 combined forces to enhance, improve, and empower new BYN to better serve our clients and community.

Apart from original programs in sports and entertainment, for in-deph analysis, BYN TV produces unique and insightful talk shows focusing on issues that are central to the community's identity and heritage.

BYN TV is proudly owned and run entirely by Vietnamese American. BYN TV is able to draw from a large pool of talented staffs, themselves members of the Vietnamese community, to help stay in close contact with the information and entertainment needs to their audience. As members of our own community, we are acutely aware of the community's particular needs and the fast growing Vietnamese market.

The Growing market
There is a rough estimation of over 200,000 Vietnamese actually living in Houston and vicinities. According to census 2007, Vietnamese population in Houston ranked 3rd in the nation with 96,834 in comparison to Los Angeles, CA (313,117) and San Francisco-Oakland-San Jose, CA (188,523).

There are concentrated communities in SW,NW, SE and the coastal Galveston area. Houston has seen a vast migration of Vietnamese homeowners shifting from the inner loop to suburbs of SW and NW of Houston. Bellaire Blvd. from the SW, Veteran Memorial from the NW, and Scardale from the SE have become the main central routes of the growing Vietnamese businesses. The original Vietnamese population centralized in the midtown in the 80s has multiplied into diverse group of professionals and community leaders in all parts of the greater Houston area..
